Leslie W. Braksick, Ph.D., is a nationally known consultant, executive coach,
and author. As a consultant, she is noted for enabling dramatic business improvement
in companies, including many of the Fortune 50. Her greatest strengths lie in analyzing
complex organizational histories and challenging business conditions, and then helping
senior executives articulate business objectives, develop targeted implementation
strategies, and execute them successfully.
In her book, Unlock Behavior, Unleash Profits
(2nd Edition, 2007 McGraw-Hill), Leslie preaches what she practices in the corporate
setting and makes a compelling case for the pivotal role that behavior plays in
successfully executing business strategy. Through her book, consulting work, and
speaking engagements, Leslie demystifies behavior and teaches leaders at all levels
how to make a difference and significantly improve their world, even outside the
workplace. The second edition of Unlock Behavior, Unleash
Profits has ranked #14 on the Wall Street Journal’s Best Selling Business
Books List in July, 2007. The book has also been ranked #6 of the top 10 business
books in 2007 according to 800CEORead.
In 2006, Leslie received the Athena Award from the Allegheny Conference (Pennsylvania)
in recognition of excellence in professional and community leadership. In 2002,
she was recognized as one of the top 50 business leaders in Pennsylvania, and was
named a Carlow College Woman of Spirit and a Pittsburgh Pacesetter in Business.
Leslie brings the same energy and skills to her many civic and community activities.
She is a board trustee for Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation and Princeton
Theological Seminary. She chaired the Women’s Leadership Initiative of the United
Way of Allegheny County (Pittsburgh) and has served as a cabinet member for the
past three campaigns.
Leslie holds a doctorate in Applied Behavior Science and master’s in industrial
psychology from Western Michigan University. She is a member of the Association
for Behavior Analysis and the Organizational Behavior Management Network. She is
a frequent keynoter or featured speaker at professional conferences. Her recent
publications span the topics of executive coaching, behavioral solutions to business
problems, and the impact of terrorism on the U.S. economy and business.
