Julie Smith, Ph.D., is a thought leader in behavior-based strategy execution and
performance improvement. She has made major strides in continuous improvement, customer
service, change leadership and leadership development. Assembling unprecedented

and its companion training seminars. She coauthored the college text,
Performance Analysis: Understanding Behavior in Organizations. She has
published articles on innovation management, formalized mentor systems, strategic
planning models and quality of work life. A frequent guest speaker at professional
conferences, Julie is on the Board of Advisors for West Virginia University’s School
of Medicine and College of Arts and Sciences, and is an adjunct faculty member.
Julie earned her doctorate in behavioral science and a master’s degree in psychology
from West Virginia University and holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from St.
Cloud State University.
